Step 01 You ask
Plain English
for TypeSafe's Jev
Yes / No · Pick one · Score
Ask Jev.
Skip the docs. Jevmadeeasy turns plain English into Jev's typed decisions, shows you how it decided, and hands you the code to ship it anywhere.
01 How it works
Plain English in, typed decisions out. Picking the right question type, writing criteria and reading probabilities is the hard part. We do it for you.
Step 02 We translate
Step 03 Jev decides
02 Playground
Type a question and watch it become Jev. This runs the real translator in your browser, so you see exactly what Jev receives. Then get Jev's answer in the app.
03 Three questions
Three shapes of question. That's all Jev answers, and why it answers in milliseconds.
"Is this email spam?"
A probability that the answer is yes. Great for guardrails, filters and flags.
"Billing, technical or shipping?"
One option out of the ones you define (up to 255), with a probability for each.
"How urgent, 1 to 5?"
A position on your scale, landing between levels when the text sits between them.
04 Jev's thinking
Every answer shows how Jev decided. Jev doesn't write out reasoning, which is part of why it's fast. It does return a probability for every option, and we replay it step by step.
- 0 extra tokens. The probabilities are already in every response. Nothing is asked twice.
- Real numbers. Only the animation is a replay. Every value is Jev's own.
- What to do next. High, medium or low confidence, with advice for each.
05 Projects
Drop in a whole project. Ask which files do what, check every file at once, or ask about the codebase as a whole. Read in your browser.

08 FAQ
Questions, answered.
Is Jevmadeeasy made by TypeSafe?
No. It's an independent tool built on TypeSafe's public Jev API. Jev and TypeSafe AI are theirs. We just make Jev easier to use.
Do I need an API key?
Yes, a TypeSafe API key. Paste it in the app's Settings (it stays in your browser), or set TYPESAFE_API_KEY on your server so everyone using your copy can ask without one. You can browse the website and try the playground's translator without a key.
Does "How Jev decided" cost extra?
No. Jev returns a probability for every option with every answer, and output tokens are free. The replay only visualizes numbers you already received. Asking Jev a follow-up "why" question would cost extra input tokens, so we don't.
Where does my key go?
It's saved in your browser and sent only to your own Jevmadeeasy server, which forwards it to TypeSafe. It never appears in front-end code you ship.
Can I ask about a whole project?
Yes. Drop a folder or .zip into the app. "Which files…" questions check each file and rank them with line numbers; other questions get one answer about the whole codebase. Files are read in your browser. When you ask, only the parts needed for that question are sent to Jev through your own server.
What can't Jev do?
Write text, count, do math, or answer open questions like "What is the capital of France?". When you ask one of those, the app explains why and helps you turn it into options Jev can pick from.
Can I self-host it?
Yes. It's one small Node server with no build step. Run npm install && npm start, and if you add a shared key, set a daily budget (see the README).
